The Women of the Old West End (WOWE) is seeking proposals from lo- cal residents and neighborhood busi- nesses interested in helping maintain the beauty of OWE Commons Park (2152 Robinwood).
Through our partnership with the City of Toledo, WOWE is responsible for ongoing upkeep of the park—including mowing, edging, and fertilizing. In recent years we have partnered with commercial providers, and as we pre- pare for spring, we are opening this opportunity to the community.
We are requesting proposals from individuals or businesses who can pro- vide:
• Weekly mowing
• Monthly edging
• Bagged or mulched clippings
If you or your business would like to be considered, please submit a pro- posal outlining your services and pricing to wowe1969@gmail.com.
Sarah Horn, will graciously chair this event this year and we are grateful for her leadership. Please mark your calendar to bring OWE kids, grandkids, friends, and family together for an afternoon of Games, Bounce Houses, Music, Free Books, Food, Crafts, and so much more!
Many volunteers make this a great event. If you have time and would like to help, please email Sarah at: sarahhorn7@gmail.com

COMMONS PARK
May Workday scheduled:
Saturday, May 9th and the Big Planting day May 23rd
If you are able and willing to help, meet at the Commons 9:00am until 12:00n. With the Virus still present we will follow the guideline of 6’ apart with hand sanitizers. Breakfast will be served that will be appropriate given our recent state of affairs.
FOR THE MAY 23rd DAY OF PLANTING 30+ FLATS, THE DAY COULD BE A LITTLE LONGER.
It is with much gratitude that we say a huge Thank You to all who came down to the Commons Park on their own and also those who showed up on our first workday (keeping social distancing of course). Thank you to Carol Kutsche, Brian Miller and Mike McMahon who, on their own, spent time clearing the flower bed of leaves. And also for our first workday, thank you and a virtual hug to Andrew Larsen, Carol Kutsche, Shirley Johnson, Pastor Chris Hanley, Mary Sawers, Ken Schumaker Toni & Dave Moore & Mike McMahon.
Suggestion If you and/or your family are taking walks in the neighborhood consider picking up any debris you might find on your walk even if it’s through one of our Parks. Stay safe . . . if you have one of those metal picker-uppers great! If not wear rubber gloves.
Your support is truly appreciated. Breakfast served to all who volunteer. Join us even if you have only an hour to spare. Questions? Call Toni Moore: 419-360-2151
